Tree Decorating Guidelines

A major part of the fund raising efforts will be during the tree auction on December 7, 2010. Donated items under the trees are recommended and encouraged. This will raise the value of your tree at time of auction.

  • 7 1/2 ft. pre-lit artificial trees are provided. Your tree should convey a cohesive theme with color, concept, decorating, and gift items. Donated items under the trees are recommended and encouraged. The Festival reserves the right to deem what is appropriate, both in theme development, and individual items under your tree. A well- planned tree theme helps increase the sale price of the tree. Please register your theme with the Creative Design Committee Chair to avoid duplications. Please submit your theme no later than September 15, 2010.
  • All sponsors and decorators will be acknowledged in the program and on individual tree signage. See sponsor page for additional listed benefits.
  • All donated items will become the property of the Rogue Winterfest.
  • All items must be suitable for someone's home, office, or business.
  • No living plants or animals may be used.
  • No advertising is permitted on the entries.
  • All decorations must be wired or hot-glued securely to the trees as they will be moved from the Bear Hotel to the new owners, on December 8, 2010.
  • A tree skirt or other covering must be part of your tree.
  • Decorating: Your tree will be set up and ready for you to start decorating at 9:00am, Thursday, December 2, 2010. Decorators will have from 9:00am to 7:00pm to decorate. Trees must be completely set up and decorated by noon on Friday, December 3, 2010. Trees will be judged at 1:00pm Friday, December 3, 2010.
  • Decorators who have picked up their trees prior and delivering "pre decorated trees" must drop off their tree on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 between 3:00pm and 5:00pm.  You may come back the following day or Friday morning if you need time complete your tree.
